Terms of use

Last updated 1 October 2026

These terms explain how KashmirRide works and what you and we agree to when you use the site. Please read them together with our Privacy policy, Cancellation policy and Refund policy.

1. Who we are

KashmirRide is operated by KashmirRide, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India (“we”, “us”). We run an online marketplace. Taxis, rentals, stays, rides and other services listed here are provided by independent local businesses (“providers”). When you book, your contract for the service is with the provider; we facilitate the booking and the payment.

2. Your account

  • You can browse and book without an account. If you create one, keep your login details private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You must be 18 or older to book. Self-drive car and bike rentals have extra requirements (such as a valid driving licence) set by the provider and shown on the listing.

3. Bookings

  • Instant booking: confirmed when your payment succeeds.
  • Request to book: the provider has 24 hours to accept. You pay only after they accept.
  • Quote on request: the provider sends a price; nothing is charged until you accept it.
  • Before you pay, we show the full price, any balance payable at pickup, any refundable deposit, and the cancellation rules that apply. Those rules are saved with your booking and are the ones we apply if you cancel.
  • Inventory is held briefly while you pay. If payment isn't completed in time, the hold is released.

4. Prices and payments

  • Prices are set by providers, in Indian rupees (INR), and include applicable taxes unless shown separately.
  • Payments are processed by our payment partner. We never see or store your full card or UPI details.
  • Where a provider allows it, you can pay an advance online and the balance directly to the provider at pickup. The balance and how to pay it are shown on your booking.
  • Refundable security deposits are collected by the provider at pickup and returned by them under the listing's rules.

5. On the day

Follow the provider's rules shown on the listing (for example, documents to carry, fuel policy, check-in times). Inspect vehicles before you drive and report damage before you leave. Providers may refuse service if you cannot meet the stated requirements; if that happens through no fault of yours, contact us and we'll help.

6. Reviews and content

Only travellers with a completed booking can review it. Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We may remove content that is abusive, unlawful, includes personal information, or is unrelated to the booking. We don't remove reviews because they are negative.

7. What we're responsible for

We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable care: accurate booking records, secure payments, and the refunds due under our policies. Providers are responsible for delivering their services as described. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

8. Problems and complaints

Contact support first at support@kashmirride.com or +91 8529098951. If you're not satisfied, write to our Grievance Officer - details on the Grievance redressal page.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to a booking is the one in force when you made it.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission where you live.

Demo mode: providers, prices and reviews are sample data; payments are simulated.
