Cancellation policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Every listing shows its cancellation rules before you pay, and those exact rules are saved with your booking. This page explains how cancellations work across KashmirRide.
Standard policies
Providers choose one of these, or set their own:
- Flexible - full refund up to 24 hours before the start; no refund after that.
- Moderate - full refund more than 7 days before; 75% between 3 and 7 days; 50% between 1 and 3 days; no refund in the last 24 hours.
- Strict - 50% refund more than 7 days before; no refund after that.
- Non-refundable - usually cheaper, with no refund after booking.
How it's calculated
- Times are counted to the start of your booking (pickup, check-in or ride time).
- The percentage applies to what you paid online, excluding any non-refundable service fee.
- If you chose to pay an advance, nothing is owed for the unpaid balance after you cancel.
- You can cancel each service in a trip separately from your booking page.
When you always get a full refund
- The provider cancels or can't deliver the service as booked.
- A request expires without the provider accepting it, or the provider declines it (you won't have paid).
- We cancel the booking for operational or safety reasons.
Weather, roads and closures
Mountain roads such as those to Gurez and Zojila can close at short notice. If a route is officially closed on your date and the service can't run, contact support: we'll ask the provider for a free date change or a full refund.
