A short drive from Pahalgam on the road to Chandanwari, with river meadows and pine forest.
Named after the 1983 Bollywood film shot here, Betaab Valley is a wide green meadow with the Lidder river running through it. It is the most accessible of Pahalgam's day-trip spots — the road is paved and the walk from the entry gate to the far end of the meadow is flat. Crowded in summer; quiet after October.
Getting there
15 km from Pahalgam on the Chandanwari road, accessible by local union taxi.
