How do I reach Thajiwas Glacier from Sonamarg?
The glacier viewpoint is about 3.5 km from the main road. Visitors can walk on foot (about 45–60 minutes each way along the stream) or hire a local union pony.
Can my Srinagar cab take me to Zero Point and Zojila?
No. Excursions to Zero Point (towards Zojila Pass) must be arranged via Sonamarg local union 4x4 vehicles due to steep mountain gradients and local union jurisdiction.
Is Sonamarg accessible year-round now?
The Z-Morh tunnel now provides all-weather connectivity to Sonamarg, keeping it open much later into winter compared to previous years when snow closed the entire highway.
